Auckland social centre raided by Police

An Auckland based Anarchist social centre has today been raided by police, with at least one arrest.

Auckland based Anarchist social centre A Space Inside (also known as Necropolis) has been raided by police this morning, as part of nationwide co-ordinated Police action under The Suppression of Terrorism Act.

At this stage it is believed that at least one person has been arrested, and the property is currently being searched by Police.

No doubt more info will arise from those on the scene later in the day.

This is a pretty closed minded response. We're not all enemies in this society y'know? And Tama Iti is one example of one of the many people who have been arrested. Stop listening to Fairfax and forming such individualist, potentially destructive views.

It seems Unite is a pretty good place to meet to me.

Great - activists are being arrested on trumped up charges and some fool feels like it's appropriate to make sectarian comments. WAY TO GO, MAN. Police-state "War On Terror" bullshit has to do with EVERYONE who values freedom of association and expression, and who has been involved in anti-corporate or anti-state action.

Unite made a central city meeting room free at zero notice, but if you're too cool to defend activists, then don't come.
