So Jock Barnes was right!

The Collaborators and Traitors Union (CTU) strikes again - this time against the one political party that has had the honesty and integrity to put their position on an issue that affects all in NZ.

The fundamental point that Ross Wilson ignored was this:

RELEASE OF GE ORGANISMS INTO FIELD TRIALS OR THE ENVIRONMENT IS IRREVERSIBLE!!!

Not too hard to grasp, you'ld think. If GE organisms are released into the environment, there is no way anyone can guarantee they can all be collected up, or destroyed. So, if we find out after GM is released that a particular GMO had nasty side effects, we can't do a lot to stop it.

You would think that a union that claims to represent it's 300,000 affiliated members would actually care about such a thing, right?

Mind you, when I was in a CTU-affiliated union, I received subtle (and not so subtle) `information' advising me to vote for the Labour Party... So much for Ross Wilson's claimed impartiality!

Everyone in the nation knows that the CTU officially and unofficially backs the Labour Party no matter what - even if Labour is screwing CTU members over. Check the many histories of the 1980's when Labour ruled with the iron fist of Lange, Palmer, Moore and Helen Clark.
